Double fatality
GREENVILLE, Pa.
Authorities in western Pennsylvania said an early morning accident involving two motorcycles killed a man and a woman.
Greenville police say the crash happened about 2:48 a.m. Saturday on state Route 18 in Greenville, The Associated Press reports.
Sgt. Paul Molton told the AP that authorities still are trying to reconstruct the crash, but the three victims were all heading south on two motorcycles on the four-lane highway.
Twenty-five-year-old Benjamin Alabran of Greenville and 21-year-old Cassandra Keck of Greenville were pronounced dead at the scene. Molton said the other male had minor injuries. The accident remains under investigation.
Brownlee Woods neighbors to meet
YOUNGSTOWN
All city residents are encouraged to attend the Brownlee Woods Neighborhood Association’s monthly meeting at 6 p.m. Thursday at Faith Community Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd.
The evening will begin with a social/refreshment time, and the business meeting is set for 6:30.
Guest speakers will be Presley Gillespie, executive director, Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp., and Kenya Roberts-Howard, Healthy Home Ownership Program coordinator.
Councilman John R. Swierz, D-7th, also will attend.
