Angels of Easter Seals schedule perennial event to cultivate caring

“A Country Garden” is the theme that will symbolize the 35th Annual Spring Luncheon & Style Show, to be hosted by the Angels of Easter Seals on May 10 at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Ave.

At 10:30 a.m., a social hour will begin, and at 11:30, luncheon will be served. Entrance costs $35 per person and $45 per patron.

Fashions are being provided courtesy of Chico’s, Dillard’s and Suzanne’s. A special feature of the event will be fashions by Youngstown native and fashion designer Nanette Lepore.

Judy Conti will serve as fashion director, and models will be Bianca Severino, a former Easter Seals Poster child, and Easter Seals children. Allure Salon will style models’ hair.

Media models will be Todd Franko, Nena Perkins, Barb Shaffer and Barb Staples, all of The Vindicator; A.C. McCullough and Kelly Stevens of WHOT Hot 101; Leslie Barrett, Jennifer Brindisi, Bob Black, Lauren Lindvig, Mark Monstrola and Madonna Chism Pinkard, of WFMJ; Stan Boney, Damon Maloney and Greta Mittereder, all of WYTV; and Joe Aulisio, Julie Bercik, Amy Radinovic and Teresa Weakley, all of WKBN.

Sponsors are Boak and Sons, Denise and John York/Edward J. DeBartolo Corp, The Vindicator, Easter Seals Board, Special Angels and WFMJ.

Raffle tickets, which cost $5 for a book of six, offer a host of prizes. The top prize is $1,000 cash, and the others include an assortment of dinners, wardrobes and jewelry, among other prizes. Also featured will be a 50-50 raffle and an auction in a bag.

All the money raised will benefit Easter Seals of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
