YPD searching for suspects in robbery at Ohio and Benita avenues

Police are trying to determine who robbed a 19-year-old city man of $10 at gunpoint as he walked in the area of Ohio and Benita

avenues Thursday evening.

According to police, the man was walking just before 7 p.m. when he was approached by a male who lifted his shirt revealing a gun and demanded the man’s possessions. Two other males walked up behind the man and directed him to do as the armed man said.

The men also attempted to rob a 54-year-old friend of the victim who lives in a nearby house but ran off when the resident yelled for someone to call police.
