The Artists of the Rust Belt is seeking artists to participate in the Summer Market, June 9-10 at the B&O Station, which benefits Youngstown State University’s SMARTS program.

Table/booth spaces are $60-$75.

Jazz clinic

The Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University will present a jazz clinic from 12:30 to 3 p.m. next Friday in Bliss Hall room 2222 with nationally known jazz guitarist Joe Negri of Pittsburgh.

Negri is best-known for his appearances as Handyman Negri on the PBS show “Mister Rogers Neighborhood,” a role he has played for 30 years. As a composer, he has written music for many documentary film scores.

This clinic is free and open to the public.

Spring weekend

NELSON ledges

Nelson Ledges Quarry Park, 12001 Nelson Ledge Road, presents Spring Hookah Weekend May 4-6, featuring two nights with Ohio jam band Ekoostik Hookah.

The rest of the lineup includes Waterband, Sultans of Bing, Jones for Revival, Carlos Jones and the PLUS Band, Broccoli Samurai, Aliver Hall, Elephants in the Mud, Desperation String Band with Ciff Starbuck, The Recipe, Front Porch Revival, Mucklebucks and more.

Admission is $50 for Friday through Sunday, or $40 for Saturday through Sunday.

Glass bottles, fireworks and dogs are prohibited.

There is no extra charge for camping.
