ALLIANCES

Ohio Cultural Alliance will have a dinner meeting at 6 p.m. May 7 at Holy Family Church Hall, 229 Center Road, Poland. Monsignor James A. Clarke, pastor of St. Paul Church in North Canton, Ohio, will depict the resonating voice of Bishop James W. Malone, long-time leader of the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown. Wade Raridan Singers will offer a selection of sacred music. Membership fees continue at $25 per person, and meetings cost $15 per paid-up member and $20 for each nonmember. Reservations may be mailed to OCA, P.O. Box 561, Canfield, OH 44406, by May 1. Those attending are asked to take paper products for the Gleaners Food Bank.

AUXILIARIES

Sulmona Valley Auxiliary will meet at noon Tuesday at The Elmton on Fifth Street, Struthers. Anna DeChellis is hostess. Telephone committee members will be calling for reservations. Plans for the Mother’s Day dinner for members and guests will be discussed.

CLUBS

Mahoning Valley Cribbage Club will meet at noon April 27 at St. James Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. New players are welcome. For more information call 330-530-1254.

Poland Women’s Club will meet for its annual business meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday, when leaders will be elected for next year. Members are reminded to take travel-size beauty products. Beth Alexoff is hostess, and co-hostesses are Mary Kay DelliQuadri and April Dornan. There are to be no guests at this meeting.

GRANGES

Dublin Grange will celebrate its 118th anniversary when it meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday. Golden Sheaf members and past masters will be recognized. The Community Citizen of the Year Award will be presented to Debbie Pifer, manager of White House Fruit Farm. Visitors are welcome.

GUILDS

American Sewing Guild Niles Chapter’s Neighborhood Groups have scheduled the following meeting. Visitors are welcome. Southington Sew Sews meets at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Southington Christian Church, state Route 534, for a strawberry pin cushion project. Pattern, etc., will be provided. Call 330-538-2819.

ORDERS

Youngstown Chapter, Rosicrucian Order, AMORC, will have an open public meeting at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Dublin Grange, 6571 Fairground Blvd., Canfield. The program will be a book review of “The Plan,” written by Dr. Lonnie C. Edwards, vice president, AMORC, and a question-and-answer session regarding the Rosicrucian Order. Refreshments and fellowship will follow.

Girard Men’s Democrat Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Parkwood Youth Center.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday for the rosary in the church followed by a meeting in the church hall at 618 Ohio Ave.

SOCIETIES

Audubon Society of the Mahoning Valley invites the public to a program at 7 p.m. Tuesday in McMahon Hall at the Mill Creek MetroParks Farm on Route 46 in Canfield. SUPPORT GROUPS

Mended Hearts, Chapter 7, a support group for heart-disease survivors and their families, will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Azalea Room at St. Elizabeth Health Center, Boardman Campus.
