Fuel business in western Ohio hit by fire

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio (AP) — Flames are shooting high into the sky and thick black smoke is billowing from a blaze at a western Ohio fuel distributing company.

The Springfield News-Sun reports that nearby schools have dismissed students early while firefighters from at least seven agencies trying to bring the fire under control.

Authorities said the fire ignited while a truck was being loaded late this morning, and then the blaze spread quickly to a warehouse. There was one minor injury reported to a firefighter.

Firefighters urged people to stay out of the area. Traffic was blocked around the site of R.D. Holder Oil Co. The business supplies fuel, heating oil, and heavy lubricants.
