The Austintown sixth-grade red boys basketball team finished 34-6. The team won four tournament championships — at Salem, Girard, Niles and St. Christine’s — and finished runner-up at Jackson-Milton. Members of the team were Nick Desalvo, Bryson Pegram, Jason Johns, Emannual Dawkins, Mike Grazier, Randy Smith, Tyler Day, Blake Baker and Foy Levy. Coaches were Mike Grazier, Thomas Day Jr. and Thomas Day III.

The Lakeview girls 7th-grade basketball team finished 18-1 and won the All-American Conference championship. Members of the team were Jensen Silbaugh, Emily Metheny, Ashley Folman, Kylee Mann, Victoria Cole, Bailey Johnson, Alex Romano, Madison Meeker, Cameron Becker, Katie Bugos and Leah Franks. The coach was Ted McDivitt.

The Lakeview 8th-grade girls basketball team won the All American Conference championship, finishing 16-1. Members of the team were Taylor Casassa, Madison Buch, Carly Casassa, Addison Becker, Haley Dean, Kaylee Neumeister, Laney Lytle, Megan Carnahan, Lizzie Chordas and Taylor Horn. Scott Chronister was the coach.

The Ohio Laker 11th-grade girls basketball team won the Dream Center Classic AAU tournament, finishing with four wins in five games. Members of the team were Lorin Clark (Minerva), Mollie Donnelly (Boardman), Ashley Harrison (Crestview), Madison McHale (Neshannock), Pam Pierce (Lisbon), Emily Gibbs (Boardman) and Sydney Beasley (Ursuline). The coach was Dave Donnelly.

Club One’s 18 National Volleyball Team, from Girard placed third in the South Metro Sports Tournament in Dayton. Team members were Lauren Lubarski (Hickory), Abby Riffee (Mineral Ridge), Halle Oatridge (Mathews), Erica Hughes (Jackson-Milton), Mackenzie Mullligan (Poland), Callie Jay (Girard), Morgan Walters (Girard), and Bryanna Jay (Girard). The coach was Tasha Reid.
