YOUNGSTOWN — The U.S. Postal Service announced today that Thomas Kerns will become the 34th Youngstown postmaster Saturday.

Kerns will be responsible for overseeing mail collection, delivery services, and retail operations in Youngstown, Austintown, Boardman, Poland and Liberty Township. The 278 employees of the Youngstown Post Office deliver to 82,716 residential and businesses addresses, the post office said.
