WEDNESDAY

Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will serve a baked chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the church. The meal includes salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be available for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. Cortland United Methodist Church, 155 N. High St., will host a drive-through meatloaf dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. (or until sold out). The menu features homemade meatloaf, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and dessert. The donation is $6. The event is sponsored by Cortland St. Roberts K. of C. and Cortland United Methodist Men.

THURSDAY

Woodworth Church of the Brethren, 30 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, will sell sirloin angus beef tips and noodles takeout dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. FRIDAY

American Legion FDR Post 560, 103 12th St., Campbell, is having a fish/shrimp fry from noon to 6 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The dinner is dine-in or takeout and includes fish/shrimp, macaroni and cheese or french fries and coleslaw. Haluski, dessert and beverages also are available. American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will serve the following meals from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday: all-you-can-eat fried fish with french fries or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; chicken with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage; or shrimp with fries, coleslaw, rolls and beverage. Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi per customer while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday or 9:30 to 11 Friday at 330-746-9528, and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. Cost is $5 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $4.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. The cost is $5.50 a dozen. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday; walk-in orders will be available.

VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, will have an all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Also available will be four-piece chicken, chicken fingers or shrimp with french fries or macaroni and cheese. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $7 for seniors.

SATURDAY

Coitsville Presbyterian Church, 91 Coitsville-Hubbard Road, will have a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under. The Nobles will provide music.

First Christian Church, 140 E. Broadway Ave., Girard, will have a Swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $8 for adults and $3.50 for children 12 and under. The menu includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, applesauce, dessert and a beverage. Carryouts are available. There also will be music from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. performed by The Big Band Sounds of Swingtime.

GWRRA Chapter M will have a rigatoni dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman. There also will be a basket auction. The cost is $7.50 for adults and $4 for children 10 and under. Takeouts will be available. Proceeds will benefit local disabled American veterans. Heritage Presbyterian Church’s Mission and Outreach Committee will have a free friendship luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, 1951 Mathews Road, Poland. The menu will consist of cold-cut sandwiches, macaroni salad, fruit, cookies and beverages.

Aut-Mori Grotto is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from noon to 4 p.m. at the Argus Masonic Lodge, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield. Meals will feature spaghetti (all-you-can-eat), meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Oblate Sisters Women’s Auxiliary will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Teresa Casini Hall, 50 Warner Road, Hubbard. Tickets are available at the door at $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

St. Rose Boy Scout Troop 40 will have a pancake breakfast from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Girard, 22 N. Market St. The buffet will include pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, rolls and a beverage. The cost for adults is $8. Children under 12 are $5, and those under 3 are free.

Sts. Cyril & Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St., Youngstown, is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $7 for adults and $4.50 for children 12 and under. All proceeds will benefit the church’s repair fund.

TUESDAY

Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown, will sell stuffed cabbage rolls from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until sold out) for $1.50 each. To order call 330-799-5318 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday. Walk-ins are welcome, but advance orders are appreciated.

TAKING ORDERS

First Presbyterian Church of Girard, 890 Church Hill Road, will sell homemade soup and bread Saturday. Chicken-noodle and vegetable soup will be $5 a quart and $3 a pint. Bread is $1.50 a loaf. Soup can be ordered through Thursday by calling 330-647-7515. Pickup will be at the church from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

UPCOMING

Bethel Lutheran Church, 425 Crestview Drive, Boardman, will have a Swiss steak dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. April 28. Tickets are available at the door at a cost of $9 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available. For information call the church office at 330-758-5745.

Junior Ukrainian Orthodox League will have a chicken dinner and bake sale from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 29 at the Orthodox Center, 1025 N. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Dinners cost $8 for adults and $4 for children and include a quarter baked chicken, two sides, roll and butter, and a beverage. St. Nicholas Church will serve a cavatelli dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. May 5 in the Great Hall, 764 Fifth St., Struthers. The cost for dine-in or carryout is $7 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 and free for those 5 and under. Meals feature cavatelli and meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert and a beverage. There also will be a 50-50 raffle and a raffle for a 46-inch LED TV. Presale raffle tickets for the TV are available at the church office for $5 each. Proceeds will benefit the church’s capital campaign.

Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., will serve chicken paprikash dinners from 1 to 3 p.m. April 29. The cost is $8.
