SCOPE’s executive director announces resignation

WARREN

Janet Schweitzer, executive director of SCOPE Inc., announced her resignation today, effective April 24.

SCOPE came under fire last week by the Ohio Department of Aging, which cut off funding for certain programs, it said, because SCOPE failed to conduct background checks on dozens of employees.

Schweitzer has been with the organization, which serves senior citizens, for 20 years.
