Youngstown State University has been named to the President’s Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll, the highest federal recognition a college or university can receive for its commitment to volunteering, service-learning and civic engagement.

YSU was named to the President’s Honor Roll in for Higher Education Community Service three years in a row.

“Civic engagement, community service and service learning are an integral part of the institutional culture of YSU,” President Cynthia E. Anderson said. “We strive to become a national model for university-community engagement that enhances teaching and learning, student and faculty research, and community well-being, she said.
