SENIOR SIDELIGHTS
Austintown Senior Center, 100 Westchester Drive, has planned the following: Monday, Walking Club at 9 a.m., blood pressure screening and painting class ($5) at 9:30 and bingo at 10; Tuesday, Vets Helping Vets and line dancing at 10 a.m., bridge club and beginning crochet at 10:30, bingo at noon, beginner computer class at 3 p.m. and intermediate computer class at 4; Wednesday, Walking Club and open exercise/cornhole/pingpong/pool at 9 a.m., bingo at 10, and Open Mike Comedy Club (wear your Senior Center shirt and share your best joke) and take a sack lunch at noon; Thursday, open exercise and Wii bowling at 9:30 a.m., beginner crochet at 10:30, bingo at noon and open computer lab at 12:30 p.m.; and Friday, Walking Club at 9 a.m., bingo and discussion group at 10, and open exercise/Wii bass fishing, jewelry making ($5) and A Matter of Balance at noon. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. The next monthly meeting will be at 5:30 p.m. May 2 at Perkins Family Restaurant, 1953 Niles-Cortland Road SE. Angels reach out in friendship to people who are elderly and alone in Trumbull County by providing trained, qualified volunteers to serve as advocates.
