MOTHER'S DAY PHOTO CONTEST

My Mother, My Friend. ... These words that describe the special relationship between a mother and her daughter have found their way into songs, poems and greeting cards, especially this time of year.

Now, they are the theme of our Annual Vindicator Mother’s Day Photo Contest:

Send us a brief note about your special friendship with your mother, and include your favorite picture of the two of you. The judges’ favorite entry will win a $100 gift card for the two of you to share at Bruno’s Restaurant, U.S. Route 224, Poland.

We’ll also need both of your names, cities of residence and your telephone number.

Email a large jpeg photo with your note to society@vindy.com or mail your entry to “My Mother, My Friend,” The Vindicator, Attn.: Barb Shaffer, Society/Features Editor, P.O. Box 780, Youngstown, OH 44501.

The deadline to enter is Friday, May 4. The winner will be notified Monday, May 7, and will receive her gift card in time for Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 13. That’s also when the winning entry will be published on our Valley Life page along with some of the others we receive. All submissions will be posted online at www.vindy.com.
