“Community Connection” (7 a.m. Sunday on 21 WFMJ-TV; and 10 a.m. Tuesday on Time Warner Cable community access channel): The Kid’s Crew Volunteers of Akron Children’s Hospital-Mahoning will bring the American Girl Fashion show back to the Valley. Julie Costas and JoAnn Stock will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the fashion show and encourage community support.
Next, Peggy Boyd and Mary Lou Jarrett of the Ohio Star Quilters will discuss their annual craft show and the history of quilting and sewing in the community.
Finally, Tenia Wilson of the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America will discuss the group’s upcoming community workshop to help homeowners facing foreclosure and will offer information on refinancing, rehabilitation of homes and purchase.

“Sunday Morning with Dee” (8 a.m. Sunday on WKBN-TV 27): Pastor Dwayne Heard, president of ACTION, and Father Fata, co-chair of the Clergy Caucus, will be the guests of host Dee Crawford. ACTION operates on the premise that the residents of the community have solutions to its problems. The guests will talk about the the group and its upcoming 10th annual banquet.

Playhouse has ‘Tenor’ auditions
