BERLIN CENTER

Hannah Mowery had three hits, including a double, and drove in four runs to lead Western Reserve (9-2, 6-0 ITCL). April Lude, Marley Oles, Tory White, Alexis Little and Nicole Barbone all had doubles for the Blue Devils. Lude pitched a one-hitter through four innings, and Sissy Stubbs pitched a hitless fifth. K. Settle had the hit for Sebring.

Boardman 8, Twinsburg 1

TWINSBURG

Nicola Gabriele won for the sixth time this season with a four-hitter, striking out seven. The Spartans had 16 hits, including three by Melissa Maiorano. Two were doubles.

Mathews 7, Lordstown 1

LORDSTOWN

T. Granelly had two singles and Cheyenne Eggens had 11 strikeouts and one walk for Mathews (10-1, 9-0 Northeast Athletic Conference), which scored all of its runs after Lordstown (6-6, 5-3 NAC) took a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Junior Melody Taylor had three singles for Lordstown, which committed a season-high nine errors. Hailey Toporcer (6-6) had three strikeouts and two walks. Of the seven runs charged to Toporcer, only one was earned.

United 5, Springfield 4

HANOVERTON

United scored five unearned runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for the win. Krista McCartney had four hits and Taylor Smith added three for the Eagles. Jessica Evan had three hits, including two doubles, for Springfield (3-5). Samanta Semach added three singles and Nicole Sicilano hit two doubles.

Ursuline 4, Coventry 4

AKRON

Briana Curd had three singles and Macy Gunther and McKenzie Stimpert had two each in a game called after seven innings at the Akron Racer Invitational. Ursuline (5-5-1) trailed 4-0 before rallying. Dana Creatore hit a two-run single for the Irish, and Stimpert came in relief and got out of bases-loaded jam in the third inning, and held Coventry (4-4-1) to two hits over 41⁄3 innings.

Girard 12, Liberty 0

LIBERTY

Neco Maderitz registered 13 strikeouts in facing 16 batters in a one-hitter. Kylie Kulon went 4-for-4 with a triple, double and six RBIs and scored two runs; McKenzie Teter and Bryanna Jay both tripled, Nikki Mazzella homered and Morgan Walters had two singles for Girard (9-4, 3-1 AAC). With one out in the fifth, Allyson Solarz had a single for Liberty (5-6, 2-4).

South Range 10, Columbiana 2

BEAVER TWP.

Darrian Yanek had four strikeouts and no walks in a four-hitter before Carly DeRose, also a junior, gave up one hit in two innings of relief. Morgan Renforth was 4-for-4 with a home run and four runs scored, Kristin Robinson had a home run and two singles and four RBIs and Tyler Syms had a home run and single for South Range (5-3, 3-0 ITCL). Khylea Fullum had two singles and scored once for Columbiana (8-3, 2-3 ITCL).

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.

Megan Carney belted a home run and had two RBIs for Fitch (6-6). Cali Mikovich went 3-for-3 and had five stolen bases, while Merecedes Pratt added two RBIs.

Edison 7, Cardinal Mooney 0

RICHMOND

Kayla Prokopakis and Tricia Trifonoff homered while winning pitcher Caitlin Brenstuhl contributed a double for Edison (9-4). For Mooney (4-9), Marissa Gorvet and Shannon Saadey each had two hits.
