Baptist council will host revival

The Baptist Pastor’s Council will begin its annual community revival and unity services with an opening program Sunday night with featured speaker Suffragan Bishop C. Shawn Tyson of Calvary Ministries International.
All evening services are scheduled at 6:30 p.m. at Union Baptist Church, 528 Lincoln Ave., with Pastor Michael Harrison hosting.
The evangelist for services from Monday through Wednesday nights will be Pastor Edward Cryer of Unity Baptist Church in Cleveland.
Morning sessions are planned at 10:30 a.m. Monday through Wednesday in New Hope Baptist Church, 437 Albert St., where Pastor Kevin Crum will be the host.
Morning sessions will include a lecture series and a devotional message. Speakers will be the Rev. Edward Noga of St. Patrick Church, Pastor Raphael Cruz of Unity Baptist Church and Superintendent Ross Johnson of Bethel Church of God in Christ.
Devotional preachers will include Elder Chris McKee of Christ Centered Church, the Rev. Rosalyne Mitchell-Martin of Price Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church and the Rev. Henry McNeil of Elizabeth Baptist Church, who is council president.
Lunch will be available for $5 daily. All events are free and open to the public.
The Baptist Pastors’ Council, founded in 1927, is comprised of area pastors and ministers whose mission is to enhance the quality of life for the residents of the Mahoning Valley. It has provided advocacy and community engagement in the greater Youngstown as its core function.
