Area writers are invited to attend Monday Night Writers at 6 p.m. Monday at Peaberry’s Caf , 4350 Boardman-Canfield Road. Led by author and professional writer Nancy Christie, the two-hour session will include both writing exercises and discussions on the creative and business aspects of writing. Those with works-in-progress are welcome to bring copies of their project for comments and critiques from the group.The fee is $10 per class, and registration is preferred. Agency is seeking actors with accents

Lemodeln model and talent agency, 7536 Market St., is seeking actors for a corporate training program. Pay is $400 per day, minus agency fee. The client would like to audition actors who can speak with authentic accents: Asian and Hispanic men and women, and an actor with a German accent. Age range is 25 to 50. Lecture to focus on impact of arts

The Youngstown State University Alumni Lecture Series begins at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the McDonough Museum of Art with “The Role of Arts and Culture Organizations in the Economic Revitalization of the Valley.” Bryan DePoy, dean of the College of Fine and Performing Arts, will present and lead a panel discussion.
