Although the Easter Bunny can hop just fine, the holiday hare enjoyed some bigger bouncing during his visit to Austintown Bounce on April 5. Dozens of Mahoning Valley children visited with the bunny at the Austintown facility. Activities during the Easter event included unlimited play in bounce houses, as well as Easter games and giveaways. Each guest received a hot dog and fountain drink during their visit.

Fliers promoting the event were distributed in Austintown schools and any children who brought the flier for admission helped send $1 to their school’s PTA, courtesy of Austintown Bounce.

Bounce co-owner Harold Porter said the event showed what his business is all about.

“We’re a part of this community and we are happy to see that Austintown residents and others are making us part of their Easter holiday. Our donation to Austintown PTAs is important because they’ve done a lot for us and we love to give back to the schools any way we can,” he said.

The Easter Bunny hopped around Austintown Bounce during the event to say hello to kids and pose for Easter photos. The bunny even danced with a few of the kids when the music was right.

“Well, he needed the right sound track. First, I went with the chicken dance until I realized the bunny hop was far more appropriate,” joked Porter.
