Woman regains consciousness

Staff report

WARREN

The nearly-dead woman who was dumped onto the pavement near a gasoline pump at the McQuaid’s/Sunoco gas station on West Market Street on Monday has regained consciousness and appears to be doing well, police said.

Felicia M. Meadors, 25, of Champion spoke to Warren detectives but said she doesn’t remember the incident that brought paramedics to the scene to revive her, said Det. Mike Stabile.

Police obtained store video of the time period when the incident happened, and it shows a blue-green Chevy Cavalier with a red hood in the gas station area for about 30 minutes.

A person gets into the Cavalier with the white female driver at some point during the video. The driver is seen getting gasoline. Later, Meadors gets into the vehicle, and a short time later, the driver can be seen dumping Meadors out onto the ground.

Meadors didn’t have a pulse and wasn’t breathing when officers arrived, but MedStar Ambulance personnel revived her and took her to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

The hospital said Wednesday evening that Meadors is alert and stable, though still in the critical-care unit.
