Parents announce Hubbard-Verdi wedding plans

The parents of Carrie Hubbard and Nicholas Verdi are announcing the engagement of their children. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. Gary and Carol Hubbard of Canfield, and parents of the future groom are Brian and Mary Jo Verdi of Perry, Ohio.

Miss Hubbard, of Canfield, and Mr. Verdi, of Mayfield Heights, Ohio, will exchange vows May 5 in the Chapel at Butler North in Youngstown. The couple will receive congratulations at a reception to follow the ceremony at The Butler Institute of American Art, also in Youngstown. Invitations will be extended for both events.

The bride-elect graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications and is pursuing a master’s degree in business administration, both from Ashland University. She is employed as a Realtor with Burgan Real Estate in Boardman.

The prospective groom also graduated from Ashland, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. He is co-owner of Slim & Fit Boot Camps in Concord, Ohio, and Willoughby, Ohio, and he is a member of The Screen Actor’s Guild, employed as a stuntman.
