Kiwanis Club votes to adopt a highway

AUSTINTOWN

The members of Austintown Kiwanis Club recently voted to become involved in the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Adopt-A-Highway program.

The club was approved to participate and will be responsible for Route 46 in Austintown, both the east and west sides of the road, from Mahoning Avenue to Kirk Road.

A member of ODOT spoke at the club’s recent meeting to explain all the rules and regulations regarding the project. The talk included information about how to stay safe while cleaning up the road.
