Homeowners at risk of foreclosure or individuals unable to get home loans can get help at an area workshop.

The Neighborhood Assistance Coalition of America, a nonprofit organization, is offering a free workshop at Casa Ramirez, 4055 Belmont Ave., Liberty, from 2 to 4 p.m. April 21. It will focus on helping people buy or rehabilitate a home. There will be information on how to refinance mortgages.

Space is limited. To register, call 888-302-6222. NACA is certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

New Allstate office

Poland

Allstate Insurance Co. has opened a new business office in Poland.

The office is owned and operated by Stephen Piersante.

“My staff and I are excited about the opening of our new office,” said Piersante. “This is a full-service insurance agency, offering a complete line of insurance products and service for our customers to help them protect the things that are important to them, whether it’s their car or home, or investment planning for the future.”

The office is at 60 S. Main St. and is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday and Sunday by appointment. Call the office at 330-707-1178.

Ribbon-cutting set

Warren

A ribbon-cutting will take place at 2 p.m. Friday at the Trumbull Washington House to celebrate the completion of the home for transitional youths.

The home has been remodeled with a four-bedroom addition and is large enough to house eight people and one monitor. Services at the Trumbull Washington House are available to people who have been homeless, have a mental health diagnosis and are willing to participate in mental health, employment and education services.

Grand opening

NEW MIDDLETOWN

Windsor House Inc. will have a grand opening of Windsor Estates Assisted Living from 3 to 5 p.m. April 27.

The grand opening will include personal tours and refreshments. The new facility is at 5240 Windsor Way in New Middletown, and more information is online at WindsorHouseInc.com.

Event at Curves

BOARDMAN

Curves Fitness of Boardman had a ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand reopening Tuesday at its 7050 Market St. location.

The fitness facility is under new management of Jennifer Tirado of Boardman. Curves is a fitness facility specifically designed for women that features a 30-minutes workout using aerobic stations and strength-training machines.
