Shelby Turner (21-1) tossed a one-hit shutout, striking out seven and walking none for the team ranked second in the nation on an ESPN website. Virginia Spring doubled for Palm Beach (23-1). For Poland (6-1), Jenna Modic (2-1) struck out one and walked three batters. Taylor Miokovic singled in the second inning.

Rachel Affagato singled, doubled and drove in a run and Sarah Sajnovsky added two RBIs for Struthers (6-5, 3-2 AAC American), which cut down two runners at the plate. Hope Callen had two doubles and a single with one RBI for Niles (2-7, 1-3) while Dana Hughes added two singles and two runs.

Paige Peterson hit a one-out single in the bottom of the eighth to lift East Palestine. Nicole Kiehl hit a two-out, two-run homer as part of a five-run seventh inning for the Bulldogs (9-1, 5-0 ITCL Tier One), who got at least one hit from everyone in the starting lineup. Pence also doubled and Carly Blair added a homer. For Columbiana (8-1, 2-1), Lauren Schlueter homered and Katie Libb added a double and a triple.
