State fair announces musical headliners

COLUMBUS

Ohio State Fair officials have announced that pop musicians Gavin DeGraw and Colbie Caillat will co-headline a show during this summer’s state fair.

Fair organizers on Tuesday also announced that country star Billy Currington with special guest Kip Moore and R&B stars The-Dream and Miguel have been added to complete the 2012 lineup.

Tickets for the shows go on sale April 21 at noon at Ticketmaster.

Previously announced performers include Chicago and The Doobie Brothers, Merle Haggard and Kris Kristofferson, Boston and Kansas, Victoria Justice and the Cab Calloway Orchestra.

The fair runs July 25 through Aug. 5.

Lecturer to discuss welfare program

Guest speaker Mary Scheetz will give a presentation titled “Welfare Assistance or Entitlement: Aspects of a Complicated Program” at the Youngstown Chapter of International Torch Clubs’ dinner- discussion meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the Bresnahan Rooms of Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University.

Zac Brown coming to First Niagara
