More fake bills
BOARDMAN
The Boardman Walmart store’s loss-prevention manager told police she believes the same two people who used counterfeit currency at two other Valley Walmarts also used it at her store.
The manager gave the report to police Monday and said that on March 30, two people used about $1,400 in fake $100 bills, reports state. That was the same day police in Austintown and Bazetta received reports of about $2,000 in fake currency used at each store, police said.
The Boardman manager said receipts from Walmart’s internal system showed the items purchased at the Boardman store were returned at a Walmart outside the Mahoning Valley, according to reports.
