Special anniversary events at Bethel Lutheran

In observance of its 200th anniversary, Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd., will host special events throughout the year.

The first will be a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 10. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children age 12 and younger. Dinner includes meatballs, salad, bread and butter, dessert, and beverage. Call 330-788-8797 to order a carry-out dinner.

There will be an ice cream social on June 2 featuring a Handel's ice cream sundae bar. Cost is $4 and includes syrup, sprinkles, cherries and whipped cream. Music and entertainment will be provided.

A play, “Glory Train, will be performed in September, date to be announced, at the church.

Highlighting the celebration will be an anniversary service on Oct. 28 featuring music by both the Men’s and the Celestial Choirs of New Covenant Lutheran Church of Cleveland and organ and harp music. A catered dinner will follow the service for present and previous members.
