Free lecture by authors of ‘Slovaks’

A free lecture on the Slovaks of the Mahoning Valley will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday at SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, 252 E. Wood St.

Loretta Ekoniak and Susan Summers, who recently co-authored “Slovaks of the Mahoning Valley,” will give a presentation highlighting the book. The book will be available for $21.99.

After the presentation, visitors can tour the historic SS. Cyril & Methodius Church.

The Mahoning Valley Historical Society’s Young Leaders Advisory Board is sponsoring the event, with SS. Cyril & Methodius Church, St. Matthias Church and Holy Name of Jesus Church.
