Clinkscale gets six years for shootings
YOUNGSTOWN
Keilan Clinkscale, 22, of Youngstown, originally charged with three counts of murder for two separate shootings will spend a total of six years in prison.
Clinkscale pleaded guilty to lesser charges — wreckless homicide and involuntary homicide — and appeared Tuesday for sentencing before Judge John M. Durkin of Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.
Nicholas Brevetta, an assistant county prosecutor, recommended the six-year sentence in the plea agreement. He said the prosecutors office is not happy about the plea, but had to take a realistic look at what could be proven.
The family of Jasmon Reeder, one of the victims in the 2011 shooting, said the plea makes it appear that Reeder’s life had little value.
