American Legion will host events April 28

LAKE MILTON

American Legion Riders and Lake Milton Association will sponsor a free Bicycle Safety Awareness Program for all ages at 1 p.m. April 28 at the American Legion Post 737 on Milton Avenue; the rain date will be May 12. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Lori Cook of AAA will present the rules of the road; participants are invited to drive to and through the road course. There will be bicycle helmet giveaways, free seat and handlebar adjustments, free tire pressure checks and free hotdogs and refreshments. The event is in memory of Gregg Snyder and Derek Martin.

That night, also in memory of Snyder, there will be an adults-only Lake Milton Walking Path fundraiser from 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. at the legion hall. The cost is $15 per person. There will be music, appetizers, a cash bar and a 50-50 raffle.
