Orrville Railroad Society is offering train excursion

ORRVILLE, OHIO

The Orrville Railroad Heritage Society is planning a fundraising excursion April 21. Proceeds will go toward maintaining the Depot Museum and train set.

The society offers the public a chance to enjoy a one-day, 155-mile “Spring Circle” train trip from Medina through Northeast Ohio and back. The train will depart from the A.I. Root Candle Company at 234 S. State Road in Medina at 9 a.m. April 21 and proceed through five Ohio counties, Canton and Akron and return to Medina at about 5:30 p.m. The distance from Spencer to New London is “rare mileage,” never before traveled by an ORHS train.

Coach fare is $110, and a box lunch is available for $7 extra. The box lunch must be ordered at the time of ticket purchase. The ORHS concession car on the train will serve food and beverages throughout the trip. The ORHS Gift shop on the train will be open for souvenirs and railroad items.
