Scouts will again clean up the park


YOUNGSTOWN

The 30th annual Mill creek MetroParks Earth Day Cleanup will take place April 21 throughout the park district at 23 locations. The sites will be visited by 22 Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops and Girl Scout Troops.

Groups will arrive from Austintown, Boardman, Canfield, Girard, New Middletown, Niles, North Jackson, Poland, Struthers and Youngstown. The cleanup is co-sponsored by the Whispering Pines District of the Greater Western Reserve Council, Boy Scouts of America and the park district.

Coordinators will stop at Ford Nature Center on Old Furnace Road to get supplies before 9 a.m. and then meet with their groups at various locations and work until noon.
