Children host reception for parents’ 50th

EDINBURG, PA.

Family and friends of Ivan and Theresa Panezich of Edinburg, Pa., honored the couple for their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception March 24 at the Mahoning Township Community Center in Edinburg. More than 150 guests from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Arizona, Missouri, Maryland and West Virginia attended the event, which the couple’s seven children hosted.

The couple also renewed their marriage vows at Christ the King Church in Hillsville, Pa. Mr. Panezich and the former Theresa Bovo were married March 16, 1962, in Detroit.

The Panezich children are Bob Panezich of Cape Coral, Fla.; Stephanie (Rob) Matvey, Michele (Tom) Skeweris, Barb Panezich and Steve Panezich, all of Edinburg; Melissa (Joe Kursel) Vest of Bessemer, Pa.: and Mindy (Mike) Lazazzera of Canfield.

The couple also have 19 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Panezich retired in 2002 as a child-care provider for the Lee County School System in Cape Coral. She is a member of Christ the King Church.

Mr. Panezich also retired in 2002 as a maintenance control supervisor with the City of Cape Coral Utility Dept. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1962 to 1966.
