The Stewardship Commissions of the Diocese of Youngstown and St. Charles Borromeo Church will host the second collaborative stewardship event, ‘Stewardship Alive,” this month.

The event is planned from 8:30 a.m. to noon April 28 at St. Charles.

All clergy, parish staff, parish leaders (both beginners and seasoned stewards) and those interested in learning about the “Stewardship Way of Life” are welcome to attend.

Julie Kenny, a national speaker and “Our Sunday Visitor” stewardship service manager, will be the keynote speaker. She will share practical ideas about how to incorporate stewardship within own parishes in the wake of parish reconfiguration.

Kenny also will offer practical ideas as to how people can live as stewards in their daily lives.

The conference will include two breakout sessions featuring six workshops.

Topics include “Stewardship and Evangelization,” “Keeping the Stewardship Flame Alive,” “Cultivating the Gift of Youth,” “Stewardship within Parish Reconfiguration,” “The Multiple Ways Stewardship Enriches a Parish” and “The Toolkit for Building Parish Communities.”

Cost for attending the conference is $15 per person or $10 per person with three or more attending from one parish/school. Make check payable to St. Charles Parish and mail to St. Charles 7345 Westview Dr. Boardman, Ohio 44512.
