‘X Factor’ auditions at Covelli

YOUNGSTOWN
Auditions for Simon Cowell’s singing competition television show “The X Factor” will be April 27 at the Covelli Centre, downtown.
Private first-round auditions will be from 3 to 5 p.m. The semifinal and final rounds will begin at 7 p.m. on the main stage.
The auditions are free; interested persons just need to show up by 3 p.m. Complete rules and regulations are available at foxyoungstown.com.
The public is welcome to watch the semifinal and final rounds.
The top four winners, one from each category, will each receive a guaranteed audition pass to move to the front of the line and sing for “The X Factor” producers in Providence, RI, on May 10.
Winning contestants also will receive hotel accommodations at the Providence Hilton and $200 for travel expenses.
Contestants must be at least 12 as of Jan. 1.
Both solo and group acts are acceptable.
The ultimate winner will receive a $5 million recording contract.
