First Night seeks designs for button

YOUNGSTOWN

First Night Youngstown is seeking submissions from local artists for the 2013 admission button.

This year’s button will be the first in a series that will highlight downtown Youngstown’s historical buildings and architecture.

Button designs may be created using any art medium, including photography.

The design must depict the Ohio One building, which is located at 25 E. Boardman St. It also must be a nighttime scene that includes fireworks and include the phrase “First Night Youngstown 2013.”

The design can be horizontal or vertical, but must be able to be reduced into a 2-inch by 3-inch size.

Entries, which are due by June 30, can be dropped off at the FNY office, 25 E. Boardman St., Suite 405 Youngstown.

Entry forms are available at firstnightyoungstownoh.com.

The winning artist will be a celebrity guest in the holiday parade and tree-lighting event, and will receive free admission to FNY for himself and his immediate family.
