NJ man arrested after daughter’s skeleton found

FREEHOLD, N.J. (AP) — Authorities have arrested a New Jersey man after discovering the skeleton of his daughter — dead at least since 2008 — in the crawl space of his former home.

Fifty-seven-year-old Dennis Adler is being held on $100,000 bail. He’s due in Monmouth County Superior Court this afternoon.

Police were called to Adler’s former home in Keansburg on Tuesday after a cleaning service discovered human remains. Dental records confirmed the remains were those of Kimberly Adler. The cause of her death has not yet been determined.

Prosecutors say the daughter was likely 23 when she died. She was never reported missing.

Prosecutors allege Adler concealed the remains within their home in 2008 and then hid them beneath a crawl space.

He is currently charged with second-degree disturbing of human remains.
