WARREN

Gerald Guysinger Jr., 25, of Marvin Road, Andover, was in the Trumbull County Jail on Monday in lieu of $35,000 bond after pleading innocent to manufacturing methamphetamines in a car pulled over on South Street near Pine Avenue on Sunday night.

Police made a traffic stop on a car being driven by Rachel A. Chew, 26, of Highlawn Avenue Southeast at 11:15 p.m. for having no lights on at night.

Guysinger was the front-seat passenger.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found two plastic bottles under the front passenger seat. One had black electrical tape around the top, a liquid inside, and a sizzling sound could be heard coming from it, so police stood back and waited for other officers to arrive.

Guysinger later admitted that he was making methamphetamines, an illegal drug, in the bottles, police said.

If convicted as charged, Guysinger could get up to eight years in prison.
