House of Heroes in benefit concert

Christian rock band House of Heroes will perform at Main Street Theater, 5 N. Main St., at 7 p.m. April 20.
The concert is a fund-raiser for the Nick Avery Role Model Scholarship at Heartland Christian School. It is in memory of Avery, who died of leukemia in 2006 at age 15.
Avery was the son of Steve and Wendy Avery of Canfield. He was a music fan who played guitar and attended Heartland Christian School.
House of Heroes, of Columbus, will release its sixth album soon.
Opening the concert will be Jay Michael, who is Avery’s brother-in-law. Michael’s second album, “Vices or Virtues,” includes the song “Hello, Hello,” which he wrote for Avery, whom he never met.
Tickets for the concert are $15 in advance and $20 at the door, and can be purchased at Heartland Christian School, Family Christian Bookstore in Boardman, Lion and Lamb bookstore in Salem and Niles, Main Street Theater and at iTickets.com.
