Zapruder will speak at Boardman school

An award-winning author, Alexandra Zapruder, will visit Boardman Center Middle School at 10 a.m. April 23 for an assembly presentation on the anthology she compiled and researched at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington, D.C.
Her book, “Salvaged Pages,” is a selection of stories from writings of children in hiding in Europe between 1939 and 1945. She is a Holocaust educator and a powerful speaker on the experiences of children during the Holocaust.
Zapruder was a member of the founding staff of the United States Holocaust Museum in Washington.
She is the granddaughter of Abraham Zapruder, the man who captured the only video of President Kennedy’s assassination.
