BROOK PARK, Ohio

Police in suburban Cleveland say someone shot a man in the chest when he got out of his vehicle to confront another driver after a road-rage incident.

Police offered no details about exactly what spurred the confrontation late Saturday in Brook Park, a community near Cleveland’s main airport. Police say the 20-year-old Brook Park man who was shot was taken to a hospital, where he was in critical but stable condition.

The shooter was described as a white male in his 40s or 50s who was driving a light-colored minivan. Police say that vehicle left the scene before officers arrived to investigate the shooting.
