Arkansas toddler missing after attack on mothers

TOLLETTE, Ark. (AP) — Authorities are searching for an Arkansas man suspected of abducting his 18-month-old daughter after deliberately crashing into the girl’s mother’s car and stabbing the woman with an ice pick.

Arkansas State Police issued a missing child alert Sunday for Zahkairi Morrison. Witnesses told investigators that 28-year-old Ralph Waldo Morrison III ran off into the woods with the girl after the attack in the rural town of Tollette on Sunday.

Howard County Sheriff Butch Morris said today that the girl’s mother, Amaria Webster, was treated at a hospital and released.

Calls to a phone number listed as Morrison’s rang unanswered today.

Zahkairi is black, has beaded braids and was wearing a blue and pink shirt and shorts when taken. She is 2 feet tall and weighs 25 pounds.
