SENIOR CITIZENS

55-Plus Club of Mineral Ridge will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary Church. Hostesses are Lorna Ramsey and Helen Rushan. Members will dine out after the meeting and card games.

Retirees of Ajax Magnethermic will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Station Square Ristorante, 4250 Belmont Ave., Youngstown. Guests are welcome.

Canfield AARP Chapter 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the Canfield Presbyterian Church. Blood pressure screenings will be available from noon to 12:45. Jeff Mihalek, a biologist, archaeologist and historian who has excavated hundreds of outhouses and privies in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania, will discuss the artifacts he has recovered and restored. Guests are welcome. The board will meet at 10 a.m. April 16 at the church. Reservations are being taken for the following bus trips: May 8 and 9 to the Tulip Festival in Holland, Mich., and Sauder Village in Archbold, Ohio; July 17 to Put in Bay, call 330-332-4791; and Oct. 4 to 8 to New York City and Vermont, call 330-337-7133. Chaney High School January and June Classes of 1948 will meet for lunch at 1 p.m. April 10 at Denny’s restaurant, 4927 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. All classmates are encouraged to join the group.

Cornersburg Happy Seniors will meet for lunch and bingo at 11:15 a.m. Thursday at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Greeters are Dorothy Wood and Carolyn Steiner. The group welcomes new members age 55 and over from the Cornersburg, Austintown, Canfield and Boardman areas to join. Yearly dues are $5.

Lowellville Senior Citizens will not meet in April because of the Easter holiday. The next meeting will be at noon May 4 in the city hall conference room, with lunch provided by Phyllis Nolfi. Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Ruby Farkas will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. St. Charles Over-55 Club will meet at noon April 10 at the church social hall. April birthdays will be recognized, and pizza and refreshments will be served followed by cards and bingo. Trumbull Memorial Hospital Retiree Club will have a luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. April 9 at Buena Vista Cafe in Warren.
