Couple’s children host reception at St. Mark Hall for 50th anniversary

YOUNGSTOWN

Jesse “JW” and Rebecca “Becky” Thomas of Youngstown marked the 50th anniversary of their wedding March 10 at St. Mark Hall in Liberty, where the couple were honored by more than 200 guests.

The Rev. Dwayne Heard of Elizabeth Baptist Church in Youngstown officiated at the renewal of the couple’s vows, and a granddaughter, Ja’Lesa Thomas, entertained with a special dance presentation.

The celebration was hosted by the couple’s five children: Jesse Jr., Jeffrey, Christine, Jerome and James.

The family includes 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Thomas is retired from Roadway Express.

Mrs. Thomas is a homemaker.

The couple enjoy traveling and are planning a trip through the southern United States.
