Youngstown Playhouse to present ‘Circle Mirror’

Staff report

YOUNGSTOWN

The Youngstown Playhouse will present “Circle Mirror Transformation” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and again Oct. 7 and 9, in the Moyer Room. There will be no performance Oct. 8.

The production, directed by Chris Fidram, is part of the Griffith-Adler Actors Series.

The cast includes Cheryl Games, Erick Kibler, Brian Lee, Tanja Temelkoff and Jenna Cintavey.

“Circle” tells the story of New Englanders who enroll in a six-week community-theater acting class.

As they experiment with silly and seemingly harmless theater games, their real lives take focus.

Hearts are quietly torn apart, and tiny wars are waged and won. The funny and touching play is meant for an intimate space such as the Moyer Room.

The play also will mark the final area appearance of Games, because she will be moving to California.

Tickets are $15 ($12 for students and seniors) at the box office, or by calling 330-788-8739.
