YSU, faculty reach tentative pact

YOUNGSTOWN — Youngstown State University and its faculty union have reached tentative agreement on a new three-year contract. They issue a joint statement a short time ago:

"The Youngstown State University chapter of the Ohio Education Association and the YSU administration have reached a tentative agreement on a new three-year contract for the university’s faculty."

"Union and administration negotiators met today and resolved remaining provisions in the contract."

"The faculty union and the YSU Board of Trustees will schedule meetings to review and ratify the tentative agreement. Details of the agreement will not be publicly released until after the votes."

In addition, YSU spokesman Rom Cole issued a statement saying, "I'm not going to provide any further comment or do any interviews today regarding negotiations. The joint statement speaks for itself."
