A second man charged with murder in the Aug. 6 shooting deaths of two men in a Wirt Street house has been arrested.
Quentin Jones, 23, of South Jackson Street, turned himself in at the city police station Tuesday afternoon. He is charged with murder in the shooting deaths of of 19-year-old Jasmon Reeder and 56-year-old Oscar Teague.
Keilan A. Clinkscale, 22, of Coronado Avenue, who turned himself in last month, faces two counts of murder with firearm specifications.
Teacher terminated

The city school board terminated a Choffin Career and Technical Center teacher for failure to report to work.
Adam Taylor’s termination was effective Aug. 26. He was an auto-mechanics teacher at the school last year. The resolution approved by the school board Tuesday says that since April 29, Taylor failed to report to work and didn’t communicate with district personnel to justify his absence, “thereby abandoning his employment and the education of students whom he was assigned to teach. ...”
Plans to be shown

The initial design and floor plan for the new 5,200-square-foot Jackson-Milton public library branch will be shown to the community at 6 p.m. Oct. 5, in the cafeteria of the Jackson- Milton High School and Middle School, 13910 Mahoning Ave. Library Director Carlton Sears and Architect Ronald Cornell Faniro will discuss the plans.
Sears hopes to break ground for the $1.4 million library on school-donated land next spring.
The library will emphasize access to technology.
