4 Oklahoma-based soldiers charged in home invasion

LAWTON, Okla. (AP) — Prosecutors have charged four soldiers from an Oklahoma Army base in a violent home invasion in which four people were shot.

Authorities say three of the Fort Sill soldiers carried out the attack and the fourth served as the getaway driver.

Comanche County prosecutors on Tuesday charged the three who allegedly entered the home with conspiracy, robbery and kidnapping. One of them, 22-year-old Pfc. Kevon McLaren, was also charged with shooting with the intent to kill and first-degree burglary. Prosecutors say he was the gunman.

The fourth soldier was charged as being an accessory.

The four were in jail Wednesday.

The base commander issued a statement Tuesday saying the Army was cooperating with police and calling it an “isolated incident.”
