A summary of police activity in Canfield city and Austintown Township:

CANFIELD CITY

Sept. 16

Breaking and entering: A vacant house in the 20 block of Wadsworth Court was broken into, and five windows were broken out. Access was gained to the home, owned by a resident across the street, and both front and back doors were ajar.

Sept. 19

Vandalism: The driver’s-side mirror of a van was damaged while parked in the driveway in the 400 block of Janet Drive.

Sept. 20

Drug abuse: Christopher Moore, 24, of 7071 Glendale Ave., Boardman, was arrested and charged with drug abuse for alleged possession of a plastic bag of 5 grams of marijuana.

AUSTINTOWN TOWNSHIP

Sept. 19

Criminal trespassing: Frankie Lockett, 20, of 919 Main Ave. SW, Warren, was released on a summons charging criminal trespassing in the 1000 block of Compass West.

Lost or stolen Ohio license: A woman reported her Ohio license lost or stolen at an unknown location.

Breaking and entering: Interior offices were broken into at Youngstown Bending and Rolling, 3710 Hendricks Road, but nothing was reported missing.

Theft: Mary Baun, 57, of 738 Glen Park Road, Boardman, was issued a summons charging theft at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave. The suspect is accused of placing lower-priced tags on clothing before checking out.

Disorderly conduct: Justin Baun, 29, 738 Glen Park Road, Boardman, was issued a summons for disorderly conduct at Kmart.

Sept. 20

Breaking and entering: A copper waterline was taken from a home in the 100 block of Georgetown Place.

Warrant: Moses Mason, 38, of 545 Michelle Drive, Antioch, Tenn., was arrested on a warrant charging failure to pay child support.

Aggravated burglary: A television, safe and bicycle were stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Oakleigh Avenue.

Sept. 21

Barking dog: Cherol Martin, 52, of 171 S. Edgehill Ave., was issued a summons for a barking dog.

Theft: Rosemary Labato, 50, of 330 Sleepy Hollow Drive, Canfield, was arrested on a warrant charging theft as an employee at J.C. Penney. She’s accused of skimming $570 from a cash drawer.

Fraud: A female received information that her name and Social Security number were used on a bad account at a home in the 200 block of S. Main Street.

Criminal damaging: A woman’s car was keyed at Crestwood Center, 25 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal trespassing: Samuel Collins, 25, of 476 Garland Drive, Niles, was issued a summons charging criminal trespassing at Pilot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Unauthorized use of motor vehicle: A friend took the resident’s car in the 1000 block of Maple Crest Drive and wrecked it in Youngstown.

Fraud: An account was opened in the victim’s name at Verizon for $1,027 in the 4000 block of Viall Road.

Theft: A wallet was stolen at the Economy Inn, 1051 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Jody Yaple, 34, of 4554 Bessemer, Youngstown, was arrested in the theft of a ring at Kmart.

Menacing: Threats were made at a home in the 4000 block of Woodleigh Lane.

Criminal trespassing: Craig Reeder, 67, homeless, was arrested on charges of criminal trespassing and disorderly conduct at Pilot, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Assault: An assault was reported at a home in the 3000 block of Allendale Avenue.

Sept. 22

Criminal damaging: Vehicles were damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 4000 block of Mahoning Avenue.

Theft: An AM-FM-CD and printer were stolen from an auto at King Kar Motors, 4120 Mahoning Ave.

Attempted breaking and entering: A pry mark was made to the northwest door at Billy’s, 40 S. Meridian Road.

Theft: A coin collection was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Theft: Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of E. Webb Road.

Theft: A Garmin with a case was stolen from an auto in the 4000 block of Woodhurst Drive.

Criminal damaging: A house was shot by a pellet gun in the 2000 block of Innwood Street.

Breaking and entering: A vacant residence in the 100 block of S. Inglewood Ave. was broken into, and copper was stolen.

Fraud: Fraudulent checks were received for an item on Craig’slist at a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Theft: Unauthorized purchases were made on a checking account at Charter One Bank, 6071 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A residence was forcibly entered, and copper was stolen from a home in the 5000 block of W. Webb Road.

Warrant: Sharon Pavelko, 38, of 215 Steel St., Youngstown, Apt. 3, was arrested on a warrant charging failure to appear on a probation violation on original traffic charges and a charge of child endangering.

Warrant: Lesa Paris, 33, of 105 Hazelwood, Youngstown was arrested on a warrant charging theft at state Route 46 and County Line Road.

Drug offense: Police arrested Lesa Paris, 33, of 105 Hazelwood, Youngstown for the alleged possession of heroin, suboxone, drug paraphernalia and syringes.

Criminal damaging: A 1992 Chevrolet was dented at BW-3, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Sept.23

Failure to comply: James W. Minerd Jr., 29, of 31 Stambaugh St., Girard, was arrested on a felony warrant charging domestic violence and issued a summons charging failure to comply and obstructing official business at Burkey Road and Compass West.

Telecommunications harassment: A woman is accused of telecommunications harassment at a home in the 200 block of Carnegie Avenue.

Identity theft: An account was opened on Facebook without authority at a home in the 5000 block of Baker Street.

Theft: A Pa. temporary license tag was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Drive.

Criminal damaging: Vehicle paint was scratched at Comprehensive Logistics, 365 Victoria Road.

Breaking and entering: A copper pipe was stolen from a home in the 100 block of Marcia Drive.

Burglary: Seventeen suboxone pills were stolen at an apartment in the 1000 block of N. Meridian Road.

Theft: Michael Jolliff, an employee, 26, of 633 W. Third Street, Niles, was arrested and charged with theft of $420 from Get-Go, 5163 Mahoning Ave. He was also charged with drug abuse of heroin and drug paraphernalia.

Criminal damaging: Two cellphones were damaged at Wedgewood Laundry, 4286 New Road.

Criminal trespassing: Melissa Paterchak, 45, of 265 S. Raccoon Road, Youngstown, was arrested on a charge of criminal trespassing at another location in the 200 block of S. Raccoon Road.

Theft: A bottle of hand lotion was stolen by two male suspects at Walgreen’s, 40 N. Meridian Road.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted text messages were received at a home in the 1000 block of Old Farm Trail.

Theft: Three watches were stolen from a home in the 200 block of First Street.

Sept. 24

Warrant: Mistia Damelio, 20, of 2188 Penny Lane, was arrested on a warrant charging contempt of court and probation violation.

Warrant: James Raynovich, 27, of 1797 S. Raccoon Road, No. 18, was arrested on a warrant charging possession of heroin at the Wedgewood Plaza, 1739 S. Raccoon Road.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at a home in the 3000 block of 42nd Street.

Warrant: Matthew Villers, 26, of 4200 Pembrook Road, No. 4, was arrested on a warrant charging receiving stolen property.

Warrant: Brittany Satterfield, 20, of 5006 Firnley Ave., Youngstown was arrested on a warrant charging auto theft.

Assault: A male was punched at the transportation office of the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities, 4795 Woodridge Drive.

Drug offense: Matthew Bagoly, 25, homeless, was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and drug instruments.

Theft: $510 was missing from a home in the 3000 block of Elmwood Avenue.

Sept. 25

Theft: A dirt bike was stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Yorktown Lane.

Menacing: Menacing remarks were made on Facebook at a home in the 100 block of Rosemont Ave.
