Hubbard man killed when his motorcycle hits a deer

A Hubbard Township man died when his motorcycle hit a deer.

The crash happened at 1:50 a.m. Sunday on Mount Everett Road east of Seifert Lewis Road in the township, the Ohio State Highway Patrol said.

Gregory Rhine, 47, was westbound on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he hit the deer, the patrol said. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, according to reports.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, the patrol said.

The crash is still under investigation.

Rhine’s death is the fifth fatality involving motorcycle accidents in the Mahoning Valley over the past month.
