Valley gas prices down by a dime

YOUNGSTOWN — Mahoning Valley drivers are saving 10 cents per gallon on gasoline compared to a week ago.

The price for a gallon of regular-grade gasoline was $3.44 on Monday, down from $3.54 a week ago, according to AAA’s Fuel Gauge Report.

In Ohio, a survey from auto club AAA, the Oil Price Information Service and Wright Express put the average price for regular-grade gasoline at $3.32 per gallon in Ohio. That’s down 17 cents from last week, when it was $3.49, but remains well above the $2.63 average from this time last year.

Nationwide, the average cost of regular gas is $3.49, a bit higher than the statewide figure.
